✦ Who is behind it

We have transferred
data by hand ourselves.

HR-Autopilot was not designed on a drawing board. It comes out of more than twelve years of HR practice, and out of the frustration of typing the same person into another programme for the fourth time.

The back story

Over 500 customers, one recurring problem

Before HR-Autopilot exists, Marc Stratmann builds frag-Paul.de, an HR administration company, and looks after over 500 customers. In every second conversation, the same question: why do our HR programmes not talk to each other?

  • Over 12 years of HR experience
  • frag-Paul.de with over 500 customers

The start in Hürth

Two founders, one problem from their own working day. Marc brings HR and sales, Peter Praeder-Hinzpeter the technology from start-ups and the highly regulated world of medical device manufacturers. Instead of a single integration, a translation layer takes shape from the start, a common language for HR data.

Our own voice in the industry

While the platform takes shape, the listening begins: in October the first episode of the HR Innovators Lounge appears, not as an advertising channel but as a conversation with people who shape people work. A great deal of what is in the product today comes from those conversations.

In live operation

The first companies run their workflows automatically. The builder takes shape: workflows can be assembled without programming. AI agents arrive, deliberately as an addition rather than a foundation. And the first corporate groups join, with different requirements for permissions and logs.

An award and over 200 integrations

The HR Startup Award 2026 and allygatr’s investment confirm the direction. Over 200 programmes are connected and more than 170,000 hours saved at our customers. A new integration arrives every three days.

“Technology and people in equal measure, that combination has always fascinated me. Digital solutions should improve how people work together, not make it more complicated.

My experience in complex organisations such as Roche and DHL showed me how decisive clear processes and dependable structures are. That is exactly the knowledge we bring into HR tech.

My motivation lies in being close to the customer: we want to understand where we can take away the most work. Because the best technology is the kind that gives people room to concentrate on what matters.”

“For me technology is not just code, it is a tool that solves problems and supports people.

Spells in fast-moving start-ups, and also in the highly regulated world of medical device manufacturers, shaped me. That is where I learnt what robust architecture, scalability and absolute reliability really mean.

I want to build products that run dependably in the background so that people in the foreground can work better. When technology makes the day easier instead of more complicated, it is built right.”

Our goal

The industry standard
for HR integrations.

Over 1,000 HR systems in the German-speaking market alone make it hard to see the wood for the trees. To the question “do our integrations fit our new tool of choice?” the answer should always be Ja . We are only at the beginning of that road, and we build a new integration every three days.

What we hold to

Three sentences
that decide everything.

01

We replace nothing

No customer should have to get rid of a working programme for our software to make sense. We are the connection, not the replacement.

02

HR has to be able to do it

If IT is needed for every change, we have failed. Every feature is measured by whether an HR officer can use it without training.

03

No black box

Every value that moves between programmes is visible. Every execution is logged. We do not store HR data just in case.

We do not only talk about our product. In the HR Innovators Lounge we talk to people who really change HR, about success stories, about experience and, openly, about projects that failed.

We are not the only ones

Anyone investing in HR software looks at the product very closely. That several of them said yes is the best evidence we have that we are working on the right thing.

Common questions

What you want to know
about us

Who is behind HR-Autopilot?
HR-Autopilot GmbH, based in Hürth near Cologne, founded by Marc Stratmann and Peter Praeder-Hinzpeter. Marc brings over twelve years of HR experience and previously built frag-Paul.de, which looked after more than 500 customers. Peter is responsible for architecture and operations, with spells in start-ups and in the regulated world of medical technology.
How big is the company?
We are a small team, and that is deliberate. You talk to the people who build the product, not to a call centre. Over 50 companies work with HR-Autopilot in live operation.
How is the company financed?
Through customer revenue as well as investments and programmes, among them German Accelerator and allygatr, an investor specialising in HR tech.
What happens to our workflows if you no longer exist one day?
A fair question, and one we are often asked. Every workflow and field mapping can be exported, we store no HR data just in case, and your programmes stay exactly as they are. So you would never be without your data and never without your systems.
Can we meet you in person?
Yes. From 15 to 17 September 2026 you will find us at Zukunft Personal Europe in Cologne, hall 4.2, stand K.03. Otherwise at any time on a video call or at your own offices.
The next step

Talk to us,
not to a form.
